Colour Beyond the Grid
Woven during lockdown 2020: We have been living in a society, of new rules and regulations deemed to ‘stay alert, control the virus and save lives’.
In the height of isolation, the outside world grew slightly more grey. But momentary joys, even in these dire circumstances, can come through creativity and colour. I found a lot of peace and satisfaction, expressing colours inspired by the trees meeting the sky and the sea.
This handwoven tapestry is my interpretation of a life full of colour, stuck behind the grid.
